Hometown Heroes Banner Program
PHASE 3
PHASE 3
The Thomas D. Egan Glen Rock Post 850 is facilitating Glen Rock’s tribute to those that have served our country to preserve our freedoms. Phase 3 banners will be added to Phases 1 and 2. All banners will be displayed for Memorial Day 2025. If you would like to honor a veteran (from Glen Rock only), and sponsor their banner that will be hanging off Glen Rock telephone poles, please select the "Learn More" button below.
If you would just like to make a general donation to help us fund banners for veterans who have not been sponsored, please select the donate button below.
To serve our veterans, the military and our communities.
To advocate on behalf of all veterans.
Our Vision: To insure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

What do vets do for vets?
Our most important mission is to assure that no one is left behind. We want the town of Glen Rock to know that at the Thomas D. Egan Glen Rock Post 850 VFW, we are there to help. In our effort to make sure our brothers and sisters get the help they require, we must know who and where they are. If you, or someone in your family, or a friend who lives in Glen Rock or a surrounding town, has served our country in a war zone or not, please contact us at [email protected].
Unfortunately, as you read in the news or see on TV, some vets have suffered setbacks that contribute to mental and physical stress. These setbacks can be the effects of readjustment, medical and mental health, or just plain bad luck. That is where we step in and guide our comrade in the right direction.
Our post is trying to create a mailing list of all vets in the area so we can Stay In Touch. We urge the residents of Glen Rock to help our post locate and identify all veterans by sharing our website with the people you care about.
